The Legacy aka Pink Pussy Cat Doesn't Care

What would you do if you spotted a Crimson Cat in your neighborhood on an uneventful Wednesday? Would you and your friends look at it in awe and suspicion? Or would you walk/drive to your workplace and pretend that nothing extraordinary happened? Let me tell you this- you, as a part of the world you live in (just like me and mine), are likely to stare at the animal in disbelief, only to capture it a little later, cage the creature and turn the occasion into one for entertainment. The wisest of wise among you may even decide to send the animal to a zoo so that it can remain caged forever and continue to mesmerize people till it died of loneliness and boredom.

Well, all the Crimson Cat ever wanted to do,  was to chase some mice, catch and eat them. Then it wanted to fall asleep under that tree with a signature purr. The Cat had no say in its Crimson-ness. It was as normal a cat as any other,  with typical cat dreams and goals. How, then, is it the Cat's fault that it ended up caged for the rest of its life? How is it fair to the sweet little Crimson Cat? Is it the Cat's fate that brought it/him /her to a place with no regard for its being? Was it the Cat's destiny to cut loose its dreams and start believing that it was a loser?  Think, people, think. Think a while before you brand, label and compartmentalize cats, people, dogs, birds anything living and non-living,their emotions and intentions. May be it's you that needs some perspective and a new pair of glasses to look at the world. The Crimson doesn't define the Cat. Nothing about the Cat's being changes if the society called it a Pink Pussy or Miss Misfit. The Cat knows better.
